#Trending Spring 2014

#Trending

Spring is in full swing and it's so invigorating!  This is my favorite time of year, it signifies new beginnings, planted ideas from the new year really take foothold as we gear up for warmer months.  This is a great time to go for a new look and really reinvent ourselves.  So here are a few of my favorites this season so far.

Icy Blondes! Taking your blonde to a cool territory really plays up the great neon pastels we have been seeing in fashion trends with clothes and makeup.  This can be achieved with glossing up your existing highlights and having your hairstylist choose the right hue for your skin tone and overall look.  Disclaimer! Consult your beauty coaches before making any hasty decisions.

The Crop is still very much on point and has much versatility.  Seen here on Julianne Hough very recently, she also sports the ash blonde and is probably the best I have ever seen her look.  It's so chic, and perfect for nearly every hair type and texture.

Two of the buzziest pictures on Pinterest have been these gorgeous looks.  Gisele Bundchen's haircolor is still very coveted and when you wear a deeper blonde, I definitely favor tones that are warmer and golden to help bring that glowing shine.  I love the balayage work done on her in this pic, it's rich, natural and still very poppy.  The other photo blowing up is this beautiful Demi Bob.  I could not find who this beauty is, so if you know please comment below so I can give her credit!  The Bob never goes out of style and this season's version is so quiche.  The blunt lines, the fullness, all of it is so delicious.

A variation on the Demi Bob here on Alexa Chung, this version has more visible layering, and allowing the waves to breathe and have live on their own.  Tons of movement, very wearable on so many, and a great way to change up your look.  Which brings me to a new product from LP's Texture Expert line.  Perfect Texture is just what it says, it offers your style seperation, is an easy to spritz and change up a next day look, helps give beachy waves, and can be cocktailed with other products in the line. It can be used on damp hair before a blow-dry and I even like to use it a bit after I am done styling to give it a little extra playfulness.  Ask your stylist about it, and try it for yourself.

New for LP's Serie Expert line is the revamped Liss Ultime line.  The lavender range helps hair that is prone to frizziness by making hair more manageable and fighting humidity.  The shampoo and conditioner make a huge difference to this hair texture I can tell you firsthand after trying it on a few of my more rebellious tressed clients. But the leave in smoothing treatment offers a wash and wear option to the person that maybe didn't feel like they could do that before.  It also helps to make a blowout very manageable for this client, and paired with the serum seen here, helps make a style last up to four days with ease.  Again, talk to your stylist if this is the right option for you.

And lastly something for the men, my pick is Nicholas Hoult.  The crop is also in style for the boys and can be worn super dapper, or more messy and playful with some perfect texture.  To get more of the sleek look seen on the left I recommend LP's Architexture, or Kerastase's Capital Force Gel cocktailed with a dash of Elixir Ultime.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you have any questions, please feel free to post in the comment section below.  Take Care!
